3. Retention of definition. Your muscles store carbohydrates in the form of glycogen. Every gram of carbohydrate that gets pulled into your muscle brings along 3 grams of water with it. So on a high carb diet your arms should look tight and compact, not jiggly and loose.

4. Longer and harder workouts. Your muscles can work harder and recover faster when fed a steady stream of carbohydrates because they can produce a lot more ATP.

Fat Loss! Stop and Think for a Second.

It is a given that 3500 calories equals one pound of fat. That being said, in order to take off 5 pounds in one week you need to drop 17,500 calories in that week.

Seriously, if your average diet is 2000 calories per day, which is enough to keep you healthy, you only take in 14,000 calories for the entire week. You can take off one pound, but that won’t work to lose five pounds in one week, because you don’t have anything to keep you alive. Losing five pounds means burning everything you eat in a week, plus 500 calories that you don’t have every day. Or don’t eat for nine days. Obviously, if your goal is five pound per week, you can’t do it by diet alone.

So if you eliminate food, you’re in for a rough ride. Your body has this involuntary reaction which we refer to as hibernation, in bears. As good a name as any in people, but we usually call it metabolism. When the food stops coming in, your metabolism picks up on it and starts burning protein, which is your lean muscle. It’s 75% water, and is your first line of weight loss. You lose your water. You ever see body builders with their protein drinks and protein bars and protein powder? Lots of muscle there, isn’t there? But the next thing that your metabolism does is worse. It starts to burn carbohydrates, which means that your fat increases. You start to put more weight on!

You have to control the burn rate, not the caloric intake. I mentioned body builders a minute ago. They eat like they will never have another meal. For all the food they take in, they should weight 400 pounds, but they don’t. They have learned to speed up their metabolism, so what they eat is going into muscle building, not fat storing.

One thing is for sure: Body Builders don’t eat a lot of Big Macs and Whoppers. They have a totally different diet, and couple with some simple exercises, they control their metabolisms. If you like that sort of look, they are usually pretty hot, too. They eat like they will never have another meal. For all the food they take in, they should weight 400 pounds, but they don’t. They have learned to speed up their metabolism, so what they eat is going into muscle building, not fat storing.

Fact is, you can’t just diet and make fat go away, so you have to make a complete lifestyle choice. You want to lose weight? Start with a little exercise. Get your metabolism kicked up. When you start AFTER you have increased your metabolism, the work will be more effective. The pounds will come off faster and more easily. The weight loss is a lifestyle change and more likely to stay off.

See, I’m not here trying to sell you a product. I want to talk about what will be good for you. You need to wrap your head around the fact that you put your weight on because you don’t burn everything that you eat. You store some of it, and over time, that weight becomes your weight. Problem is, storage is driven by consumption, and consumption is mostly about water. Protein is 75% water, and body builders have protein drinks, bars, and so on. When you go on a diet, after you clear out the water you burn protein from your storehouse.

The real deal is, diet alone won’t make fat go away, so you have to make a complete lifestyle choice. You want to slim down? Start with light exercise. Get your metabolism kicked up. Once that starts to take off a little weight, start your diet. After that, up your exercise. You need to wait to start until you have increased your metabolism, and all your work will be more effective. The pounds will come off faster and more easily. The weight loss is more likely to be a lifestyle loss.

A Quick Guide To Prevent Sweating

Sweating is often a natural mechanism of our body to regulate our internal temperatures whenever the external temperatures change.

If it is too cold, our body tries to produce heat. Meanwhile, if it is very hot, your body produces sweat in order to cool you off. However, excessive sweating may also occur among different individuals.

Although sweating may be normal, excessive sweating isn’t at all. However, plenty of people are affected with this. There are a few things that you can try so that you can prevent sweating.

The first tip is to use an antiperspirant every single day. What an antiperspirant does to prevent you from sweating is that it inhibits your sweat glands from producing sweat for a few hours.

You can find an assortment of antiperspirants but you will notice that most of them all contain aluminum chloride.

Second, you can try losing weight if you are on the heavy side.

When you have too much fats, you produce more heat than most people do. Just look at it this way, a person who is thin cannot tolerate cold weather unlike a fat person. The reason for this is because fats actually insulate heat.

You can also try limiting your alcohol consumption every time you are out in town during the night.

Alcohol actually elevates you body temperature. In order for you to not feel the cold, your body tells you to sweat more to cool you down.

But finally, you can try giving up on coffee or at least limiting your consumption. With caffeine and sugar, coffee is a kind of stimulant.

Coffee can be alright to start your day but make sure to limit yourself only to 2 cups a day to prevent sweating.

A lot of us are faced with belly fat. But, most of us want to get a flat belly that looks tight and fit. There are smart ways to get an abs pack, and most people don’t know how. Most people give up because they don’t see results. But, it’s because they are believing that only situps will do it. Unfortunately, there are other crucial exercises that need to be done.

For one thing, it’s important to start and stick to an exercise regime, if you don’t already have one. From there, it’s important to understand that there are different types of exercises that will target different areas and different muscles. What we are going to tell you may seem a little strange. But, it’s important to keep reading so that you completely understand the logic behind it.

Take for example the way a home is built. The home is only as strong as its foundation. Let’s imagine that your belly area is your foundation. It must be strong from the inside out. Therefore, building your core muscles is the key to this problem. How do you build core muscles? Not with situps.

Two exercises that are highly recommended are the squats and lunges. Start by doing these exercises without weights. Not only will you build strength in your legs, you will also be building your core muscles. Once you become stronger, you can start using the weights. Squats involve bending to the point where the thighs are parallel to the floor.

These exercises will work on strengthening your legs as well as the most bottom layer of your abdominal muscles. But, it’s also important to watch what you’re eating. As you are developing these strong inner muscles, they may be covered by a thick layer of fat. So, cut down on fatty foods and continue to do your situps.

With the advice mentioned above, you will start noticing good results in a matter of a few weeks. To continue to build those core muscles, sit on a ball at your desk, at the dinner table, and when watching TV. By trying to maintain your balance, you will continue to be working those muscles.
